Short Bio

Born deep in the Shroud, Sky Hoshizora was born the heir to a prominent Hingan shipping and trade company, though some issues did occur due to her family’s unique dynamics. She is the eldest of four children, the only one named in the Hingan tradition rather than with Keeper conventions. Heavily encouraged to excel in a wide variety of arts as a child, Sky grew up with an unquenchable thirst to learn new skills, and as such usually flits from one hobby to the next and back. Recently, distilling Moonshine in the tradition of her Miqo’te family has managed to keep her interest rather well.As a teen, she travelled to Limsa Lominsa to study at the Arcanist’s Guild, but soon grew bored of the teachings and moved on to Ishgard to study with at the Astrologian’s Guild. Using this newfound skill, she joined the Gridanian military just in time for the Calamity to occur and earn an honorable discharge for her work as a healer. After, she spent time as a healer in Ishgard, during which time she met a Seeker of the Sun during a blizzard one fateful night.Finding a strong bond with that Keeper, Opal Vanih, and her Roegadyn companion, Phearless Phanatic, Sky began traveling and working as an adventurer for hire along with them. They added a Qestir to their numbers, working together to earn money for a house and eventually established a Free Company. She attempted to gain a liquor license to sell her moonshine from their café, but there were issues due to some family business, so she instead runs an illegal speakeasy underneath Opal’s cute café. She now splits her time between her workshop in Gridania and their Free Company house in Shirogane.

• Botany/Distillation – Sky is an avid student of botany and is always eager to discuss new plants and their potential uses in either healing salves or as botanicals to give her moonshine a brand-new flavor profile. She’s also keen to discuss the latest batch she’s working on, or willing to give samples provided you don’t ask too many questions. Recently, to the joy and horror of her test subjects, she’s begun experimenting with aether-infused liquor meant to evoke feelings rather than actual flavors.• Healer for Hire – Though much of her time is spent managing the FC and venues, Sky does still offer her services as a healer to adventurers in need from time to time. Assuming the price is right or the job is interesting enough, she may just take you up on your offer of adventure.• Heiress to a Shipping Company – Sky may not yet be involved in the day-to-day operations of her father’s company, but she does assist him in meeting new clients and seeking out investment opportunities. She’s always willing to offer an ear to discuss potential trades and propositions for the Hoshizora Shipping and Trade Company. She’s also all too aware that issues with her legitimacy lead to all manner of trouble from some of her Doman family and their associates.
